A holistic cannabis education training program for experienced doulas and caregivers to learn to support women, birthing people, and families in communities who consume cannabis.  This is a cannabis consultant and caregiver training centering the needs of women, birthing people, and families during the childbearing years. The online training will feature live virtual sessions, access to online cannabis education platforms, including demonstrations of various cannabis preparations and remedies, including tips to grow cannabis medicine for others.  

 

The Cannabis Doula® Training participants will learn about cannabis use during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, cannabis to support family wellness, daily use, and preventative care.  Participants will learn how to prepare cannabis infusions, how to interpene cannabis, consult with birthing families, and support conversations toward shattering cannabis stigma for the families they serve.

 

Upon successfully completing the training,

participants will be awarded a certificate as a Certified Cannabis Doula™ 

and gain an additional certificate in cannabis education.

Doulas will learn skills that integrate:

Cannabis Education: Access online cannabis education in cannabis consulting and caregiving, products, method of consumption, extraction and infusions, along with live virtual sessions on cannabis use during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, and to support family wellness.

Holistic Childbirth Education: Learn The Cannabis Doula Approach to supporting cannabis choosing families, including evidence-based information integrating family life education, parent education, and holistic childbirth education to support families in making informed decisions.

The 2024 Cohort of The Cannabis Doula Practitioner Training is open to doulas and non-doulas, and will have two different sections to choose from.  

 

The Doula Track is for already trained and certified doulas (birth workers) that will focus on perinatal cannabis education.  This track is ideal for experienced doulas and midwives who serve in communities that consume cannabis.

 

The Caregiver Track is for individuals who are not doulas, that are interested in training as cannabis caregivers.  This track will focus on cannabis and family wellness, pediatric, medicinal, and geriatric cannabis use.  This track is ideal for social workers, community health workers, dispensary staff, care providers, etc.

Application Requirements​

For Doulas: At least one year of doula experience is required. Must show proof of an approved doula training prior to the start of training or your registration will be canceled. ​
